A new café and vintage shop has opened in King’s Lynn High Street, offering everything from homemade cakes and retro treasures to workshops and events.
Pia’s Place combines a café, vintage and retro shop, gallery and space for classes and workshops.
Owner Pia Cawston, 53, said: “It’s always been my aim to have another shop but to fill it with my favourite things.”
Pia previously ran a furniture upcycling shop in Grimston around ten years ago but had to close it after three years when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
She faced around 18 months of treatment and had just finished when the Covid lockdown began.
Now she has fulfilled her ambition of opening another shop, bringing together her favourite things under one roof.
Customers can browse vintage furniture, homeware and retro items, relax in an armchair with coffee and homemade cake or book a workshop or class.
The shop, at 114 High Street, also showcases work by local makers, with workshops covering activities including ceramics, printing, painting and upcycling.
Pia said she wanted to offer affordable coffee and homemade cakes alongside vintage and retro items and classes for all ages and tastes.
