An hour before their latest FA Cup campaign gets under way, King’s Lynn Town have added to their squad.
Jamal Mohammed has joined on a one-month loan from West Bromwich Albion and goes straight into Paul Caddis’ team for this afternoon’s FA Cup second qualifying round tie at Bedford Town.
Camden-born Mohammed, 20, is a 6ft 4 centre back and moved to the Hawthorns as a 15-year-old from Peterborough United.
He spent part of last season on loan at Gloucester City but has featured on the Baggies’ first-team bench in the Championship.
Lynn manager Caddis said: “Jamal brings size, stature and athleticism to our defensive unit. Having trained with us yesterday, he showed exactly the qualities we were looking for when bringing him into the group.
“I’m really pleased to add him to our squad and look forward to seeing him develop, contribute and get some valuable experience with us.
