Thornham’s hopes of ending the cricket season with silverware was dashed in the final of the Mid Norfolk Sunday League Hunts County Junior Cup.
Chasing Norwich’s 177/6 in the Twenty20 contest, Feltwell fell 63 runs short, finishing their 20 overs on 114/9.
Key to Norwich’s win was an opening stand of 70 between Max Brister (75) and Jack Livermore (41). Pick of Thornham’s bowlers was Tom Wallace, who took 3-35 from his four overs.
Wickets fell regularly in Thornham’s reply, with Jacob Hewson (17no) and Ben Harris (17) their top scorers.
Thornham had seen off the challenges of Swaffham, Long Sutton and Reepham & Salle to reach the final.
