Tutus will be to the fore at a special parkrun at Downham Market Academy on Saturday.
The frilly outfits will be de rigueur for anyone brave enough to wear one to celebrate the event’s 222nd running.
First across the line at last Saturday’s event was Andy Lucraft-Townley, in 21mins 12secs, with Kelly Burgess the first female finisher, in fifth place, 23:30.
The first local club runner was Lynnsport Ladybirds’ Sarah Clifford, 45:48.
Thirteen of the 42 finishers were first-timers at Downham and five people recorded personal best times. A team of 13 volunteers ensured everything went to plan.
Among the finishers was Peter Waterfield, who was completing his 100th parkrun.
Further along the A1122, two Ryston Runners were among the first 10 to finish the Swaffham parkrun with Luke Till fifth, 22:19, and Les Scott ninth, 23:53.
West Norfolk AC junior Olivia Ord was the first female finisher at Holkham, 19th overall in 21:41, while Marcus Todd, of Dersingham Runners came third at the Loch Neaton parkrun in Watton,22:18
In Sheffield, Renegade Runners’ Thomas Harrington-Vogt completed the Millhouses event in eighth place, 18:36.
