A live music show performed entirely in darkness is coming to King’s Lynn Minster as part of a national tour.
In The Dark will bring its show HUSH to the Minster on Thursday, February 18, 2027, with two evening performances.
The show features 30 musicians and singers who move around the venue, performing without amplification while the audience sits wearing eye masks.
There is no stage or lighting, with the music moving around and among the audience to create an immersive experience.
A spokesperson for the show said: “No phones. No distractions. No being watched, and no watching. Instead, 75 minutes to completely tune out, and completely tune in. Because when you take sight away, sound becomes everything.
“All ticket holders are provided with sleep masks for the show to take home afterwards, and don’t worry if you get a little claustrophobic – there’s a tiny bit of natural light coming into all our venues.”
HUSH features arrangements of songs by artists including Coldplay, Sigur Rós, Mumford & Sons and Ólafur Arnalds.
The show is touring cathedrals and historic venues across England following a series of sold-out performances in London.
In The Dark was founded in Cambridge in 2017 by Andrea Cockerton and has since staged more than 60 performances for over 12,000 people.
Tickets are on sale now.
