A large new care home could be built on the outskirts of King’s Lynn.
Kori Developments wants to build an 80-bed home on land to the south east of the Queen Elizabeth Way roundabout.
Plans for the three-storey building, close to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, have been submitted to planners at King’s Lynn & West Norfolk Borough Council.
The home would have lounges, dining rooms, a café and hair salon, as well as a “light, bright spacious environment with clear and convenient access to a range of internal and external amenities,” according to the application.
The building would be arranged around a central courtyard garden, with private patios for ground-floor residents and communal outdoor spaces on the upper floors.
Existing boundary trees would be retained, with new trees and hedgerows planted along Lynn Road and Queen Elizabeth Way.
Kori Developments said on LinkedIn: “Designed by our in-house team, the scheme aims to create a light, bright and spacious home that supports residents’ comfort, wellbeing and independence.”
The company said the building would feature different shades of brickwork and linked wings of varying heights and widths to give it a more domestic appearance.
The application will be considered by borough council planners.
